Riley Green brings #1 hit to Richwood Independent Fair this Summer with special guest HARDY
On Wednesday, August 28th Riley Green will headline the 2019 Richwood Independent Fair in Richwood. Riley recently topped the Country MediaBase Charts with hit single “There Was This Girl”, a tune that came to life when Erik Dylan and Green were recalling life experiences thus far.
Riley’s latest EP IN A TRUCK RIGHT NOW (BMLG Records) was released last year and introduced his mixture of outlaw-rebellion and respect for tradition across his self-penned four tracks, including debut No. 1 hit single “There Was This Girl.” Named an “Artist to Watch” by outlets such as Rolling Stone Country, Taste of Country, Whiskey Riff, Sounds Like Nashville and iHeartRadio, he was also selected as a CMT “Listen Up Artist” and one of MusicRow’s 2019 “Next Big Things.” Always keeping his audience in mind Riley recently released his follow up single “In Love By Now,” as it quickly became a fan favorite during his live shows.
Joining Riley Green in the Wednesday night show will be up and comer HARDY. A native of Philadelphia, MS, Big Loud Records/Tree Vibez Music breakout singer-songwriter HARDY is “Rednecker” than you with the release of his debut single, the down-south, swampy anthem of the same name that defines his brand of Country. HARDY launched as an artist with the release of two four-song EPs of Country swagger and rock attitude, THIS OLE BOY (October 2018) and WHERE TO FIND ME (January 2019), and was soon after named to CMT’s 2019 Listen Up class and tapped as One To Watch by Rolling Stone Country, Amazon, Pandora and many more. Emerging as an in-demand songwriter in 2018 with two PLATINUM-certified #1s, “Up Down” (Morgan Wallen feat. Florida Georgia Line) and “Simple” (FGL), his knack for unforgettable grooves and unique turns of phrase have made him “one of Music Row’s most consistent hit-makers on the rise” (CMT), with Blake Shelton, Chris Lane and more lining up to cut his tracks. HARDY just wrapped a three-month run as direct support on Morgan Wallen’s IF I KNOW ME TOUR, and will join multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line for their CAN’T SAY I AIN’T COUNTRY TOUR this summer.
HARDY is carving his own path as he finds his way in country music. He was first discovered as a songwriter with cuts from Florida Georgia Line, including their smash collaboration with Morgan Wallen, “Up Down.” He released his debut EP, This Ole Boy, in October of 2018, and he co-wrote all four songs, working with some of the top songwriters in Nashville. HARDY also co-wrote Florida Georgia Line’s singles “Simple” and “Talk You Out of It” and Blake Shelton’s single “God’s Country”.
